David C WootenGraduating from the Art Institute of Ft Lauderdale, Florida, in 1976, I returned to Charleston, SC. I worked as a technical illustrator for the Navy and the Army for five years. Later, I worked as a photographer and graphic designer for the Air Force My career with the Air Force began in Charleston in 1984, and I transferred to Fairchild AFB, WA Survival School in 1997. I recently retired in December 2021. My primary duties were using photographs and graphics to develop a curriculum for young men and women joining the Air Force's SERE branch. I studied 3D animation and eventually developed my technic with the digital pen and tablet as an artist. Our Motto is "To Return with Honor." Our mission is to survive any adverse environmental conditions and Return with Honor. The book series became an interest after returning to the USA from Brazil twenty years ago.
