David A RoweDavid A. Rowe is a Reader in Exercise Science at the University of Strathclyde. He has a BEd in physical education from the University of Worcester, a MS in health science from Springfield College, and a PhD in exercise science from the University ofGeorgia. Prior to his college teaching career, Dr. Rowe taught physical education and coached several sports at the elementary school and high school level, in three different countries. He has served as a section editor and editorial board member of several journals, is co-founder (with Dr. Baumgartner) of the journal Measurement in Physical Education and Exercise Science, and is a past Chair of the AAHPERD Measurement and Evaluation Council. His research has been published in over 50 peer-reviewed journal articles and via over 150 national and international conference presentations. His favorite modes of escape from sitting at a desk include hiking in the Scottish countryside, riding a mountain bike, and pulling weeds. Read More Read Less
