Darryl C ZeldinDr. Darryl Zeldin is a Senior Investigator and the Scientific Director at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, National Institutes of Health (NIH/NIEHS). He obtained his MD degree from Indiana University School of Medicine, compleed his Internship/Residency in Internal Medicine at Duke University Medical Center and his Pulmonary/Critical Care Fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. His research program focuses on understanding the role of eicosanoids in regulating pulmonary and cardiovascular function. He is a Fellow in the American College of Chest Physicians, a Fellow in the American Heart Association and is an elected member of the American Society for Clinical Investigation and American Association of Physicians. He has co-authored over 380 primary peer-reviewed articles and his work has been cited over 33,000 times. He has mentored over 85 post-baccalaureate fellows, graduate students, medical students, postdoctoral research fellows and clinical research fellows.
