Darren CosentinoIn January of 2011, Darren Cosentino was given a shocking diagnosis of Stage 4 colon cancer. He began a whirlwind of medical treatments-including extensive chemotherapy, multiple major surgeries, and two sudden cardiac deaths. Despite these exreme challenges, Darren's life was filled with excitement and adventure. In the five-and-a-half years between Darren's diagnosis and death, he took cooking lessons in Dublin, sipped fine wines in Rome, went deer hunting in the dead of the Canadian winter, and embarked on several scuba diving excursions in Mexico. Darren led a happy life, married to his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Sara, and surrounded by friends and family. He and Sara lived in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and took every opportunity to spend time at their cottage, near Kenora, Ontario. They enjoyed fishing, hunting, swimming, paddleboarding, waterskiing, wakeboarding, and hosting countless guests. Darren passed away in May of 2016.
