Daniela KalkandjievaDaniela Kalkandjieva holds a PhD in History from the Central European University. Since 2004 she has been affiliated with Sofia University 'St. Kliment Ohridski' as a project leader of research projects in the field of religious studies. She is the athor of the monographs The Bulgarian Orthodox Church and the State, 1944-1953 (Albatros, 1997; in Bulgarian) and The Russian Orthodox Church, 1917-1948: From Decline to Resurrection (Routledge, 2015).
