Daniel OwensDaniel E. Owens is a vessel chosen by God for such as time as this. Daniel was born on June 7, 1982 to Jackie and Cora Owens. He is the loving father of four beautiful children: Janiya, Alawna, TyLord and SkyLa. As a young child, Daniel always dreame of working in the mortuary field. Oddly enough throughout his childhood one of his most cherished memories was attending funerals with his grandmother, the late Nora Lee Owens. In 1997 Mr. William H. Knotts, Sr. owner of Knotts Funeral Home, made Daniel's dream a reality! He allowed Daniel to shadow him at the funeral home at the age of 14. Because of this, Daniel is now a valued and beloved member of the Knotts Funeral Home staff. Throughout the years, as Daniel worked at the Funeral Home and served families, the Lord was preparing him for a greater work. The Bible tells us in Mark 10:44-45 ESV, "and whoever would be first among you must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many". As a young man, Daniel attended Victory Tabernacle under the leadership of Dr. Campbell. He knew even then that God was going to use him in a mighty way. Later in life, Daniel moved his membership to Deliverance Church of Christ under the leadership of Bishop Thurman R. McNeil and Dr. Helen McNeil. It is here Daniel began walking in the calling that God set aside for him. After trying to ignore the voice of God, he looked to Bishop McNeil for spiritual guidance. After much prayer, he accepted the call into the ministry. Daniel preached his introductory sermon January 26, 2014 and since then the Lord has been using him mightily. Daniel Owens is a staff pastor at Life Springs Church in Sanford, NC. He also serves his community on boards and committees in an effort to enhance lives. A project dear to his heart is the "People Loving People Unity Prayer Walk" that he started a few years ago. Daniel is moving forward in the power of God to win lost souls, patch the wounded souls, and revivesouls while building the Kingdom of God. On April 12, 2015, Daniel visited and spread the word of God in the most poverty- stricken areas of Africa. Since then he has revisited Africa and has preached in India, England and Costa Rica. He has spread the gospel on four of the seven continents -North America, Africa, Asia, and Europe-and plans to visit the other three.Daniel sees himself as a tool in God's toolbox ready to be usedat any time.
