Daniel OntanedaDr. Daniel Ontaneda is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Neurology at The Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. He received his medical degree from The Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador and hols a Master of Science in Clinical Research from Case Western Reserve University. He completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas with a focus on multiple sclerosis. He completed training as an intern and neurology resident at The Cleveland Clinic. He then completed a neuroimmunology fellowship at The Mellen Center for Multiple Sclerosis also at Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Ontaneda is a staff neurologist at The Mellen Center and is board certified in neurology.Dr. Ontaneda was the recipient of a highly competitive Sylvia Lawry Research Fellowship Award through the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. He is a recipient of a National Institutes of Health KL2 award and his research is focused on advanced MRI imaging outcomes for clinical trials in MS. He currently is pursuing a Ph.D. in Clinical Investigation at Case Western Reserve University with a focus on translational and multidisciplinary research. Dr. Ontaneda sees patients with multiple sclerosis at the Mellen Center and attends on the inpatient neurology service at The Cleveland Clinic. Read More Read Less
