Dan KingDan King has been in Fire and Emergency Services for 25 years. His experience ranges from fire safety to emergency preparedness, and occupational health management. Dan has special expertise in leading, training, and mentoring top performers. His comined industry experience and senior-level leadership have been instrumental in developing in-depth training programs that have a positive impact on safety metrics and protocols for risk management. Dan began his career as a firefighter in Tennessee in 1996 at a municipal fire department. In the 15 years he worked here, he advanced to the positions of Lieutenant, Captain, Training Officer, and, ultimately, Assistant Chief. During this time, Dan also worked as a Field Representative with the Tennessee State Fire Commission and as an Instructor for the Tennessee Emergency Management Association (TEMA). In 2011, he founded and chaired the Tennessee Industrial Fire Committee with the Tennessee Fire Chiefs Association. Dan also serves as a board member for the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) Industrial Fire and Safety section. Dan's most recent achievements include authoring two children's books, Charlie Visits the Fire Academy and Covered with Love Living with Hurler Syndrome. Dan is also hosting his own podcast - "360 Size Up" - focusing on the values, leadership, training, and tactics within the firefighting community. His overall mission is to give back to the greatest profession in the world by helping others be the best, safest, and most professional leaders in the industry.
