Damodaran PadmalalDr.Padmalal Damodaran Padmalal is a Senior Scientist in the National Centre for Earth Science Studies (NCESS) under the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India. His research interests are Quaternary geology, Palaeoclimate and Environmental Gelogy. He has published many research papers in international and national peer reviewed journals and edited volumes. He is the author of several books and co-edited a special issue of the Journal of Geological Society of India on "Western Ghats- Evolution and Environmental Issues" (Volume 92; 2018). He has received the INSA- DFG Exchange of Scientists Fellowship in the year 2004, Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Award (2011)instituted by India International Friendship Society (New Delhi) and Certificate of Merit (2014) of the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India.
