D D HorseriderAbout the Author DeAnne studied journalism in high school and was a featured writer in the school newspaper. She authored a monthly newsletter for a horse club while she was still in high school. She went on to write articles and newsletters for the ealth ministry at her church. She also wrote the orientation manual and policy and procedure manual for public health and for the school nurse department. While working in public health, DeAnne wrote the first drafts and coauthored the Guide for Documentation in Targeted Case Management for the state of California. She also served as an expert witness for the Board of Registered Nursing regarding home care fraud. DeAnne retired from nursing in 2019 and lives on a ranch in northern Arizona. DeAnne is an avid horsewoman and rides in competitions as well as cross-country endurance rides. D.D. Horserider is a pseudonym for DeAnne Nevarez, RN, PHN, MSN. DeAnne has worked in all the areas mentioned in this book.
