Cyra S DumitruCyra Sweet Dumitru has written poetry all her life. For 18 years, she has taught poetry writing, composition, and writing as wellness courses at St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas. She is also a Certified Poetic Medicine Practitioner, throug The Institute for Poetic Medicine founded by John Fox. In this capacity, she offers therapeutic poetry circles to: college students struggling with mental health issues, women veterans, LGBTQ teenagers, and to adults seeking to articulate their experience of being an embodied soul.
