A self-proclaimed lover of words, Cynthia's early years usually found her captivated by fiction books, romantic comedies, and musicals. Her respect and admiration for these art forms piqued her interest in writing. Eventually, Cynthia's love for writing led her to attend the University of Maryland College Park as an English Major. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Arts & Humanities.
