Cristina TroisProf. Cristina Trois is a Full Professor in Environmental Engineering and serves as South African Research Chair in Waste and Climate Change (SARCHI) at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), in Durban. She is also the Chair of the joint secretariatfor the Southern Africa Region of UN-IPLA Program (International Partnership for Expanding Waste Management) and the International Waste Working Group for the Southern Arica Region. Prof. Trois has over 20 years of experience in waste management, through designing and delivering multi-million rand/dollars projects in South Africa and across the wider continent. She is the author of over 100 peer-reviewed publications.
