Creea ShannonCreea Shannon is an author, mentor, mother, advocate for STEM and underserved communities, and speaker. She is presently pursuing her Ph.D. studies in Biomedical Informatics at Vanderbilt University. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemitry, along with two Master of Science degrees, one in Biochemistry and another in Data Science. Previously, she interned at the White House for the Office of Science and Technology Policy working to ensure clean energy transition advances equity and environmental justice and improve health outcomes for vulnerable populations. Currently, Creea is applying data science and Artificial Intelligence to investigate disparities within underrepresented communities in Asia, Argentina, and Thailand.Creea is passionate about breaking the barriers of representation in STEM fields and literature.
