Coonoor KripalaniCoonoor Kripalani is a full-time writer residing in Singapore. She is Honorary Institute Fellow at the Hong Kong Institute for the Humanities & Social Sciences (inc. the Centre of Asian Studies), University of Hong Kong, as well as a Board Member of he Asian Civilisations Museum, Singapore. Coonoor is the author of numerous scholarly articles on sociological and political issues in popular Hindi film, which have been published in academic journals. She is also the author of a succinct biography, Mahatma Gandhi: Apostle of Non-Violence, published by Rupa & Co, 2003. At present she is writing on radio broadcasting (AIR) in India. Coonoor writes in Hindi and English for children aged two to six. She enjoys creating bilingual books that intrigue and attract children, and at the same time provide them early learning skills in both Hindi and English. Coonoor's books are simple, lively, and full of fun and adventure. The books encourage good reading habits in children, and aim to create in them a childhood memory of books and stories that they will carry into adulthood.
