Colony VelezColony T. Velez. is a native of Tampa, Florida; however, Charles Town, West Virginia has been her home for over twenty-six years. She and her husband, Daniel, met while in high school and have been together ever since. They have been married for tweny-three years and have three children in college. After graduating high school, she attended Hagerstown Business College in Hagerstown, Maryland, and then attended Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, majoring in nursing. In 2004, Colony had to make a career change due to getting hurt on the job and other family circumstances. So, she started working for a large IT company and has been working in some form of program support for IT companies for almost twenty years. She currently works as an account manager.Her faith in God is especially important to her, and she loves to fellowship with others at her church, Hope City Church, in Martinsburg, West Virginia. In the fall of 2022, she founded Purposeful Peace Ministry, Inc. Through this ministry, she hopes to share with women of all ages how to find the peace that God has given us and to help push them to find their purposes.
