Colleen CarmeanColleen Carmean is the IT Director of Instructional & Desktop Support for Arizona State University at the West campus. She teaches applied computing, is responsible for faculty development and support initiatives in technology at her campus, and is crrently on the Teaching and Technology editorial board for MERLOT. As a National Learning Infrastructure Initiative Fellow in 2002, Carmean researched learner-centered practices in higher education. She earned her master's degree from the University of Arizona, bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois, and studied at the University of Paris, Sorbonne, where she received a baccalaureate in Civilization.
