Clive ClarkeClive Clarke was born in Jamaica where he first attended college, pursuing science education and, later, social work. He has a diploma in teaching from the Mico University College, Kingston, Jamaica, and a bachelor's degree in social work from the Unversity of the West Indies, St. Andrew, Jamaica. He also holds a master's degree in political science from Brooklyn College, New York, with a concentration in urban policy and administration. He worked in Jamaica, West Indies, as a science teacher for three years then, after graduating from the University of the West Indies, was seconded to the department of correctional services, where he worked as a social worker / probation officer for two years, providing counseling and facilitating the rehabilitation/restoration of the social functioning of adult and juvenile offenders. In 2001, Clive and his family moved to New York City, where he now works as a science teacher with the New York City Department of Education.
