Clarence Chip JewellClarence Chip Jewell, co-author of Arcadia's Images of America: Firefighting in Frederick, is the director of Volunteer Fire and Rescue Services for Frederick County and an instructor for the Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute. He has served as a volnteer firefighter and emergency medical technician for 36 years. In 1995, he was named to the Maryland State Fireman's Hall of Fame.
