Cj GirouxCJ Giroux was born and raised in Michigan. He grew up in the metropolitan Detroit area and completed his studies at Wayne State University. His dissertation focused on representations of trauma in the works of twentieth-century African American dramaists. He is a professor of English at Saginaw Valley State University, where he also helped direct the school's Writing Center and served as co-director of its Center for Community Writing. He is one of the founding editors of the community literary arts journal Still Life and the author of the chapbook Destination, Michigan. His poems can be found in journals and anthologies in the U.S. and abroad. He also serves on the staff of Dunes Review. Read More Read Less
