This passion inspired her to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master of Arts from the University of Colorado, alongside multiple At Achievement Awards. Once she had her two children, she delighted in using stories and art to teach them of the world around them. Naturally, this led her to a fulfilling career as an art teacher in the public school district.
