Chuck HagenChuck Hagen is an author and artist living in Maine. For the last 20 years he has been working and studying with various elders in Mexico (studying the culture that was Mexico before the invasion of the Spanish); lecturing on the Native Culture of th Americas at several schools and institutions; and giving workshops on drum making and Native crafts. He was hired by the Maine Arts Commission as a storyteller in schools, in the Artist in Residency Program.' He owned the Native store and gallery Native Arts Inc' which connected people with Native culture since 1989. Chuck is indebted to Luis Cedillo and all the others for sharing this knowledge with him.
