Christopher John IrvingChris Irving is a philosopher essayist, poet, songwriter and artist. He lives in a suburb of Perth in Western Australia but frequently goes camping for extended periods. He is most at home sitting in a bush camp. Indeed, this is where much of his wriing takes place as well as inspiration for his songs and paintings. He has previously published several books. The first of these was a mixed bag containing poems, a short story and some philosophical essays and was published in 1999. More recently he published a book of collected poems called 'Silence Sings' (2018) and a poetic photobook called 'Southwest Zen' with the subtitle 'A Photo-Poetic Sampling of the Southwest of Western Australia'. The latter is a coffee table style book in which each photo is accompanied by a corresponding poem inspired by that image. Upon finding a suitable illustrator he will publish some children's stories.
