Christopher HirschmannChristopher Hirschmann Brandt is a New York City- based writer, translator; man of the theater, and cabinetmaker. He also teaches at Fordham and Pace Universities. His poems and essays have been published abroad in the journals Laterál (Barclona); El signo del gorrión (Valladolid); Liqueur 44 (Paris); La Jornada (Mexico); Pratik (Nepal); and in the US in Poiesis, The Unbearables;; Taos Journal of International Poetry and Art, the on-line journals Syndic, AMP, and (One); and in the anthologies Crimes of the Beats (Unbearables), Classics in the Classroom (Teachers and Writers) and Off the Cuffs: Poetry by and About the Police (edited by Jackie Sheeler, Soft Skull Press). Translations from Spanish, French and German have been published by The New Yorker, Seven Stories, the University of California Berkeley, the Instituto de Cultura Puertorriqueña, and Los Libros de la Iguana (San Juan).
