Christine Sorensen IrvineChristine K. Sorensen Irvine (M.S., Ph.D., professional studies in education, Iowa State University) is a professor in Learning Design and Technology at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where she teaches research methods courses in the doctoral proram and mentors doctoral candidates. She also co-directs a U.S. Department of Education grant working with entities across the Pacific on educational program planning, evaluation, and assessment. She was Dean of the College of Education at the University of Hawaii from 2007 to 2012 and Dean of the College of Education at Northern Illinois University from 2001 to 2007. Dr. Sorensen has an extensive record in grants; her research areas have focused on technology integration in education. She has taught courses in research, evaluation, and higher education, and has expertise in both quantitative and qualitative methods of research.
