Christine LeeChristine Lee, born in 1938, was brought up in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, and began her working life as a nurse, training at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading. After bringing up her young family, Christine returned to her first love by attendin St Martins School of Art, London, gaining a degree in fine arts sculpture. Now one of the country's leading figurative sculptors, she is best known for works such as the remarkable Commemorative Fountain outside the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon.Christine has always written creatively, having her first biography, The Midwife's Sister, published in 2015 which reached the Times' bestseller list.
