She was inspired to write this cautionary tale about the need for critical thinking when confronted by propaganda while completing her eacher-librarian diploma. She was increasingly alarmed by the growing use of media to spread mis- and disinformation regarding various people groups. In particular, she saw how quickly fear and hate can spread in the digital world, accelerating a tendency that has afflicted humanity throughout history. She has taught children and youth for many years within the public and Montessori school environments and strives to keep learning and asking the deep questions.
