Chris PrettyChris Pretty joined the Royal Marines in 1978. After Commando Training, he was drafted to M Company, 42 Commando, then progressed to RM Poole and specialised as an Illustrator (now the Combat Intelligence specialism). After completing this long and eclusive course, he was drafted to 40 Commando Intelligence Section. Subsequently, moving to Charlie Company 40 Commando, where he became a member of 9 Troop.

After leaving the Royal Marines, Chris began Instructing Climbing and Mountaineering. He worked in Education for many years and was the program Leader of a Degree program. Now retired from Education, he has returned to his first love, Instructing Climbing and Mountaineering. Some of which support the Veterans Community in the UK. Chris lives in Suffolk.
