Chiara MannoniChiara Mannoni is a Marie Sklodowska-Curie senior fellow at the University Ca' Foscari of Venice, Department of Philosophy and Cultural Heritage (grant: LawLove-837857). Her research project aims to uncover the origins of the heritage legal protectio, by investigating the laws issued to preserve antiquities, monuments, and paintings in 15th- to 18th-century Europe (https: //pric.unive.it/projects/law-love/home).Chiara obtained her BA. and MA. in art history at the University of Rome "La Sapienza", her 2nd lev. MA in conservation and management of cultural heritage at the University of Siena, and her Ph.D. in art history at the University of Auckland (2017). She was researcher for the Italian Ministry PRIN projects in Museology and History of Restoration in 2010-2012, and obtained fellowships and research grants in Italy, Greece, Australia, and New Zealand. Her first monograph "Artistic canons and legal protection. Developing policies to preserve, administer and trade artworks in nineteenth-century Rome and Athens" has been published by the Max-Planck Institute for Legal History and Legal Theory.From September 2022, Chiara will be tenured researcher and lecturer at the University of Basilicata - Matera.
