Cheryl L DickterCheryl L. Dickter is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology and a Faculty Affiliate of the Neuroscience Program at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA, USA. She received her Ph.D. in Social Psychology from the Universiy of North Carolina in 2006. Her research uses a social cognitive neuroscience approach to examine how individuals perceive members of different social groups, and how these perceptions differ based on contextual information such as stereotypes. Dr. Dickter also examines how the cognitive processes involved in the processing of drug-related stimuli are affected by exposure, craving, and motivation. Her research has been funded by the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health. Read More Read Less
