Chelsea PetreeChelsea Petree is the Parent & Family Programs director at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) . Chelsea moved to Rochester in 2015 to establish the Parent & Family Programs office, including develop- ing a comprehensive parent communications pla and implementing family events and engagement opportunities . She has worked to establish a "parents as partners" culture at RIT, increasing support of families across the institution . Chelsea received her Ph .D . in family social science from the University of Minnesota in 2013 . As the presi- dent of AHEPPP: Family Engagement in Higher Education, she is proud to create new opportunities to support and build community with its members . Prior to this role, she was actively involved in AHEPPP for many years as a volunteer, member of the Conference Planning Committee, webinar and conference presenter, mentor, and the AHEPPP Journal and Insights blog editor .
