Charles Lee KnucklesCharles Lee Knuckles hails from the gritty streets of North Philadelphia's "Badlands." Orphaned at the tender age of two, he navigated a tumultuous childhood in a series of impoverished foster homes. Despite being intimately acquainted with addiction homelessness, and the suffocating weight of hopelessness, Charles found solace in the world of literature, notably in the works of Mark Twain, Robert Louis Stevenson, and others. His passion for reading became his lifeline. After dedicating years to Cityteam men's programs in San Jose, CA, where he retired as Director of Rescue and Recovery, Charles now serves on the board for New Directions Homeless Shelters.
