Chanita ThompsonHi all. I hope all you drivers are being safe and professional. My name is Chanita. I made the decision to become a truck driver in 2006. That year I just graduated from a nearby community college with an AAS in biotechnology. I had a thirst for learing, but I had gotten tired of waiting on my resume to get picked for a job. One day I was home watching television and saw a commercial truck driving. I signed up the next day. I do have a faint memory of my dad pulling up in front of our childhood home driving a dump truck. The program I signed up for was six months long. Two months in class four months out on the range. The 3rd day on the range you couldn't tell me I wasn't a truck driver! passed all my written tests on the first try like a boss. I passed the certification through completing all my maneuvers on the first go as well. My first ten years as a cdl holder I hauled gas and diesel locally in Maryland and surrounding states. Closed ten years driving as a company driver then obtained my very truck and became an owner operator. Once I bought my truck, I started hauling flatbed and purchased a flatbed of my own too. I decided to put together this daily for truckers like myself that need better but simple ways to document information on a daily basis. Feel free to use the added notes section to help notate anything you need to remember. That's what I do. I hope this journal helps bring a certain peace of mind and organization to your day.
