Chad V BroughmanAfter a southern Michigan childhood, Chad V. Broughman worked for a brief stint in the banking industry throughout the state of Georgia then pursued a career in education. He is a prose writer and English/Creative Writing teacher living in Harbor Sprngs, Michigan, a scenic resort community on the northern shores of Lake Michigan. Chad won the 2016 Rusty Scythe Prize Book award and has been published in numerous reviews and journals nationwide--such as Carrier Pigeon, East Coast Literary Review, River Poets Journal and Burningword--and is forthcoming in Killer Nashville's Broken Ribbon. As well, he won the 2017 Adobe Cottage Writers Retreat in New Mexico and, most recently, was named a finalist in the William Faulkner: William Wisdom Creative Writing Competition and earned a certificate of Distinction from New Millennium Writings. Chad holds an MFA from Spalding University and co-edits the on-line fiction/poetry blog, Café Aphra, based in the United Kingdom.
