Celestine Favrot ArdntCelestine Favrot Arndt was born in 1940 and grew up in Mexico City and Houston, Texas. She studied philosophy at Wellesley and UC Berkeley, and raised four boys while living in Taiwan, India, Sri Lanka, and Virginia. Ms. Arndt also earned an MA in Soiology for fieldwork she did on Ayurvedic medicine while staying with Buddhist monks in a small mountain village in Sri Lanka.
