Cathy M McAllisterCathy McAllister is a well-known speaker, having given presentations at the Michigan Chapter of National Association of Social Workers and Victim Offender Mediation Association. She has spoken on or taught audiences in as many as 30 topics, such as gief/loss/change in life, stress and anger management, relationships, emotional care of self, and finding the silver lining in areas where despair, anxiety and drudgery are often the prevalent feelings and thoughts. She was named employee of the year at Foote Hospital, Jackson, MI, Volunteer of the month, Jackson, MI and Social Worker of the Year by Mission of Hope Cancer Fund. Enjoyment includes traveling, reading, coloring, word puzzles, writing and sharing knowledge aa well as family time. Some areas of volunteering include counseling at St. Luke's Free Clinic, Henry Ford Allegiance Health, Gift of Life, Transplant Support group, court mediation, Red Cross blood donations, and a variety of church activities.
