Cathy DayCathy Day is the author of The Circus in Winter, a finalist for both the Story Prize and the GLCA New Writers' Award; the book was also one of Amazon's "Best Books of 2004," a Barnes & Noble "Discover" pick, and an "Original Voices" selection t Borders. Her fiction and nonfiction have appeared in New Stories from the South, Antioch Review, Southern Review, Shenandoah, and SI.com. She received her MFA from the University of Alabama and now teaches in the graduate writing program at the University of Pittsburgh. Born and raised in Indiana, she currently lives in Pennsylvania.
