Catherine BrownCatherine left school with only a handful of written qualifications. School didn't accommodate or suit her needs as a dyslexic. However, if effort and determination had been recognised as achievements then she would have excelled. Never being prepare to take 'no' for an answer, she managed to move from leaving school at 16 as a hairdresser, to a career spanning more than two decades as a police sergeant. Sadly, her career ended after being injured in the line of her duty leaving her with a permanent disability to her foot. Looking for a purpose and reason to get out of bed each day, she has returned to her childhood love of art. Tapping into her creative talents she has both written and illustrated her first children's book, 'The Adventures of Roobie & Radley and the Christmas Campervan Rescue'.
