Cassondra EllisIllustrator Cassondra Ellis was born in Kansas and raised in Oklahoma, but she enjoys traveling and would love to eventually live up north. Drawing is a talent that came naturally to her as a young child and she has continuously refined her skills thoughout her life. She also pursues other mediums of art, such as painting. Her paintings have been showcased in exhibits and purchased by local companies. She has also donated art for auctions to benefit local organizations, such as no-kill animal shelters. Her love of animals has inspired much of her work. She enjoys teaming up with her elder sister, author A. Kay Mathes, and they published their first children's book, Solar Stroll, in 2013 under their own publishing company, Ellis Sisters Publishing House, but have since made Yorkshire Publishing their home. Ellis went to Owasso High School and studied art at Oral Roberts University, where she graduated with her bachelor's degree in 2018. She has a passion for learning new trades and has held various jobs, ranging from work as a graphic designer to operating heavy machinery for Tulsa County.
