Carolyn Hovde BohachCarolyn J. Hovde is a University Distinguished Professor who has served as the Idaho NIH INBRE Director since 2006. Dr. Hovde's laboratory studies E. coli O157: H7 with a primary focus on understanding the relationship between this human pathogen andits silent reservoir, healthy cattle. Dr. Hovde has authored more than 100 scientific publications and holds one patent. She has been the recipient of numerous honors and awards including election as a Fellow to the American Association for the Advancement of Science and winner of the ASM Carski Foundation Distinguished Undergraduate Teaching Award.
