Carolyn GrassiCarolyn Grassi graduated in Political Science & Education from Brooklyn College-CUNY. She received an MA and MPA from San Jose University and completed graduate work at Drew University and Marquette. Carolyn taught Philosophy and Political Science atseveral California community colleges and has led many workshops in creative writing. Along with her husband, the late Joseph Grassi, she co-taught classes in Spirituality and Aging at Santa Clara University's Osher Lifelong Learning program. After her book of poems Journey to Chartres (Black Swan Books, 1989), she received an Ingram Merrill Foundation writing grant. She is the author of two collections of poems published by Patmos Press, HEART AND SOUL (2014) and TRANSPARENCIES (2003), which was nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Read More Read Less
