Carol Louise WildeCarol Louise Wilde was born in Southern California. A voracious reader as a child, she often spun stories in her head. While she sometimes dreamed of writing them down some day, she considered the idea impractical. Instead, Carol pursued an interest n biology that led to a career as a research scientist. It was while in graduate school that Carol first got her hands on a computer with word-processing software. That transformative technology together with some stolen time produced an abortive 300-page fiction manuscript that resides in a box on a shelf somewhere. A spark had been kindled, but the demands of career and motherhood got in the way for more than a decade. Ultimately, Carol left the academic world to pursue her fiction writing. Carol began work on The Nagaro Chronicle - a story that had been growing in her head for years - in the spring of 2002 and has not stopped writing since.
