When she wasn't reading, she played school. Years later, one of her deams materialized when she graduated college with a teaching degree. Erin Ryan Macphee has been drawing and painting since she could hold a crayon. Her first inspiration came at the age of three when her mother, a self-taught artist, took Erin with her as she sketched houses and historic buildings in their small town. Erin has been an elementary art teacher and a working artist for over thirty years. She continues to teach, illustrate, and paint murals today.
