Carol ConwayCarol was born in Canada where her mother had followed her new soldier husband after the second world war. After a couple of years in the wilderness when she found she was pregnant she decided to return to Scotland and the soldier promised he would fllow as soon as he could. He didn't follow, and he never wrote once. But back in Forfar with her granny and grandad she felt loved and saw her grandad as a dad.
