Carney CarltonCarlton Carney was born during the Great Depression. His first home was a rural two-bedroom frame house with no electricity, no plumbing and no central heat. This book describes the many events and transitions in his life, some of which involved God' direct intervention. He was asked by a pastor one time how he came to believe in God. His answer was that he has always believed in God. That belief, however, needed to grow and mature, as described in this book. Carlton's extensive and interesting work career has involved education-related experiences, first in the military where he taught and developed technical training programs on airborne radar maintenance and then technical training programs on the Titan Missile Systems. His career continued in the computer industry where he developed and taught maintenance training programs on small, large and super computers. He has managed a variety of organizations and been part of the computer industry before and through the transition to personal computing. He has had his own desktop publishing business. His final thirteen years of work was as an independent consultant to industry in areas of policy and procedures development. During that time, he developed a Procedure Writing Seminar and a Flow Charting Seminar that he taught at State Universities in Minnesota. This book explains how God's hand was involved throughout Carlton's life, although he was often unaware at the time. Carlton is retired and lives with his daughter Sally in Minnesota.
