Carnella W JarmonCarnella Whatley grew up in Opelika, Alabama but has been a resident of Birmingham Alabama for 40+ years. She worked in the Birmingham Public School System for 36 years as a classroom teacher, resource assistant, parent educator and coordinator of vaious programs. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from Tuskegee University and Miles College, a Master of education degree plus an education Specialist degree from Alabama State University. Carnella enjoys her morning walks, writing, solving number fill-ins puzzles and spending time with her family. Her love for writing and her background in education led her to pen a book for children about love. She believes that children should be taught early in life about pure love and the joy of experiencing it. Carnella has been married to Luther for 49 years.
