His research focus is telerehabilitation and its manifold benefits, including environmental stewardhip. He is among the pioneers of telerehabilitation in the Philippines. As Chair of the Telerehabilitation Committee of the Philippine Academy of Rehabilitation Medicine, he led the development of their national telerehabilitation guidelines for physiatrists and other rehabilitation professionals.
