Candice BurrowsCandice Burrows is a children's book author from Nassau, in The Bahamas. Born and raised in The Bahamas, she traveled to Canada for higher education before returning home to enter the hospitality industry. Writing has always been a creative outlet fo Candice--a way to explore her own feelings and observations about life. She draws inspiration from everyday interactions with her children, family, and down-home island living. To date, she has written four children's books, each one illustrated by a talented local illustrator. In 2011, inspired by her desire to communicate with her eldest daughter using baby sign language, Candice wrote her first book, Porkchop Learns to Sign, illustrated by the gifted Rebecca Armbrister. In 2019, Candice teamed up with renowned international artist Judith Papillon to create the Cocoplum the Swimming Pig series.
