She has a Master of Arts in Teaching and a B.A. in English and Japanese Studies with an emphasis in Creative Writing. She wrote more than 600 stoies as a reporter for the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman, and with this volume, has published eight books through her company, Red Sweater Press.
