C MadhumathiC. Madhumathi, joined in Department of Horticulture, Andhra Pradesh as Horticulture Officer in 1993 and left in 1998 putting about 4.5 years. Next she joined as Asst. Professor in 1998 in Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University, Andhra Pradesh andrised gradually to Principal Scientist (Horticulture) in the year 2016. She served the University in various capacities and is now heading the Citrus Research Station, Petlur, Andhra Pradesh. She has handled ten research projects on vegetables and developed production technology. She specialized in fruit crops (Mango, Guava, Papaya, Banana and Citrus), vegetable crops (drumstick, cole crops and melons) and flower crops (tuberose, gladiolus and chrysanthemum). She received two gold medals for achieving first rank in M.Sc (Ag) Horticulture. She is a recipient of "Best Achiever Award 2017 by Y.S. Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Solan, Himachal Pradesh and 'Padmasri' Dr.I.V. Subbarao Rythu Nestham" award for outstanding research work in Horticultural crops for the year 2018. She published 25 research papers in National Journals and 26 popular articles (in Telugu). She published a book "Hints on Turmeric Cultivation" in Telugu in 2016.
